West Point Event
On October 21st, we hosted a group of our clients, who are football enthusiasts, to a beautiful autumn day at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The cadet review parade and the pre-Thanksgiving buffet were highlights of the afternoon. In spite of Army losing the football game 17 to 31 to Texas Christian University, the spirit and pride among these young cadets was inspirational. A great time was had by all!
Gutsy Women Travel Company
A group of our clients enjoyed a luncheon and presentation on travel opportunities for women who travel alone or with other women. The presentation, by the Gutsy Women Travel Company, helped some of our clients to learn how to travel by themselves as well as to meet other women who also like to travel.
Team Meeting/Team Building
On June 27, 2006, the team at Robert J. Reby & Company held a semi-annual review of our business’ objectives and our year-to-date progress toward achieving them. Afterwards, we enjoyed a team outing at a local bowling alley. Laughs and awards followed.
The YPO Clan Gathers in Scotland
From the Highlands to higher learning, Bob and Mary Reby flew to Scotland in May 2007 to attend A Gathering of Greatness conference of the Young Presidents’ Organization sponsored by YPO’s Life and Leadership University. The Rebys participated in debates and think sessions with corporate presidents and business leaders from around the world. “It was an opportunity for us to get out of our boardrooms and inspire one another to become better spouses, citizens and leaders”. Highlights of the sojourn included inspirational seminars by Dr. Carol Craig, Chief Executive for the Centre for Confidence and Well-Being and Professor Paul Wilkinson, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence, among others. The Rebys stayed at philanthropist Andrew Carnegie’s magnificent castle, Skibo, where Carnegie frequently entertained King Edward VII, President Woodrow Wilson and John D. Rockefeller.
